Several years ago I asked my programming teacher about a rumour I heard about other teacher being better than her teaching programming.
She told me that the other teacher was good, maybe even great, sometimes the students from the other teacher got better grades than her students on the exam, but she never went to a class given by the other teacher to actually check if she explained better or not than her; but more important the other teacher had a major flaw that couldn’t be repaired in any way, I asked what was it, and she told me that matter it fact all the other teacher had the same flaw: they weren’t her.
That was a long time ago, even before I became a teacher but everytime a student of mine asked me if another teacher is better than me, I just reply this, (s)he might be good but it has a mayor flaw, it ain’t me
Some time ago I used to be on comics forums, some of them were only accesible if another user invited you, I was added twice by some of the most respect users there was; that was something I was really proud but nothing as this recommendation I received on LinkedIn by LACS
Fernando is one of the most motivated and driven person I have ever know. I had the opportunity to be his academic advisor, professor and, eventually, partner in the University of Guadalajara. We had the chance to exchange a diversity of matters during enriching chats. He is the kind of person you do not need to teach anything. It’s been an honor to share with him!
I asked for that recommendation to him and as always he helped me out.
I have a bunch of recommendation all of them are very special to me, but given the circumstances this is most meaningful to me; LACS recalls when he was my tutor and marks that eventually we became peers, at least by working on the same place because he was the teacher I felt I will never be a match.
