Battle of the bastards

The most awaited episode of the season and according to IMDB this is the best episode ever in the history of a series(the only one with 10/10).

Here’s what I think of the episode.

Tormund:Great! I only found weird that he panicked…is not his style but well I’m happy because he didn’t died, I was so afraid of that, in the trailer it seemed to me like he was going to die like Gannicus fell against Ceasar on Spartacus final episode. Why he didnt fight on a horse but he was on one while talking to Ramsay?

Ser Onion/Davos: I think he always sensed what happened to Shireen…he finally knows for sure…if only he haven’t sent Gendry away.I don’t think he is going to kill Mellisandre thought.

Jon: for the old and new gods sake Jon, Sansa told you dont to fall into it and whats the first thing you do? you fucking fall into the trap. Why didn’t you sent somebody else to battle?

Sansa: WTF, if you contacted Littlefinger why didn’t you say so? because you are angry at Jon not asking you? you risked everybody life. Ramsay wasn’t going to attack you on the open, your team could have waited.

Baelish: Varys is not happy about it, Baelish now commands one of the biggest armies(dont remember if this is the biggest or Tyrell) and the Stark owes him a favor.Jon might be a great warrior but he is not better at this game than Ned and now he owes his house to Baelish, king of the ashes.I would have rather Nymeria and Ghost saving everybody.

Ramsay: His death was faaar too quick, it was a nice touch that he died by his hounds but he deserved suffer more.He did plan everything OK but didnt take into account Wun Wun(who plans for a thing you dont it exists?).When he saw Wun Wun he should have changed his tactic to kill the giant first, basic strategy,

Dany: About time Vyserion and Rhaegal attacked too!I think this could have been the highlight of any episode besides this…With everything ok on the slaver bay, the unsullied, the second son, the dothraki, the Ironborn’s ship and the 3 dragons I think she is all set to sail to Westeros.

What  I didnt like:

It was kind of predictable.

Where were the Mormont soldiers?I only saw  the shield that saved Jon’s life.

WTF with the human wall? were Ramsay’s men putting that up or what?is too damn perfect for just to be there, I know for the plot is important but I don’t see any sense of why more than 3 death bodies are on top of each other.

Wun Wun: Where was the damn bow and arrow that the giant used against the Wall? If Wun Wun had that, he would have killed 20 guys with one shot.Sure one “arrow” for him is a fucking tree and are not as easy to made as a normal arrow but who cares? just one arrow, would have made the world of difference. If you didn’t have the time for a bow and arrow, take a tree! there were a lot of them! Well, there wasn’t time to took down a tree, grab Ramsay’s men and throw them against each other! like break the shield and let the other fight.Well Wun Wun is far too big to think a big strategy, why didnt somebody(Probably Ser Davos) went on top of him whispering what to do?he is like the biggest asset ever!…don’t want to waste a good resource there? put some archers!.Dont get me wrong, I loved his part, without him the battle will be lost(Even with Littlefinger army) but it was very poorly used, not sure if it was due to CGI issues or other stuff.

Overall.

I think it was great episode, probably on my top 5 but not the best for me, I still think that 4×10 was the best for everything that happened.

On the battle although the production was great is kind of small if compared with the last battle on Spartacus, not that the battle was bad…but c’mon there are other things that are pretty epic.

Poor Rickon, the guy only appeared in about 15 episodes, didn’t appear on the complete 5th season and didnt actually say a line since Season 03. I really hoped that he will have a more prominent role on the things to come but I think I should have noted not when Robb told his mom that she neglected Rickon while taking care of Brandon(who was slept the entire time).

Bonus:

Art Parkinson(Rickon) interview after GoT:

Interviewer:So, you were on GoT?

AP:Yes sir, my character died at the end of season 6.

Interviewer:Oh, what character did you play?

AP:Rickon

Interviewer:Who?

AP:Rickon Stark.

Interviewer:Oh, the little guy with the visions, right?

AP:No, the youngest of the Starks.

Interviewer:…Ok, so how come you didn’t have a direwolf to protect you?

AP: My direwolf was the black one.

Interviewer:OMG was there a black direwolf? that’s awesome!

AP:…
